UNDERSTANDING KENNEL COUGH...
Kennel Cough, also referred to as Bordetella (Bordetellosis) or Tracheobronchitis, is among the more typical upper respiratory issues that may affect your dog*. This very common issue is highly contagious and is known to affect a high percentage of dogs throughout the world. Boarding would then be an easy place to contract the illness. Causative agents of, or contributors to, this common upper respiratory issue may include; para influenza, Bordetella bronchiseptica, and mycoplasma. Canine adenovirus, reovirus and even the canine herpes virus have been known to be contributors. Usually, more than one of these are contributors.

SYMPTOMS: Initial symptoms include a hacking, dry cough, with a retching-like action. Often, the sound exhibited may resemble that of 'honking'. Quite often, the cough is accompanied by a nasal discharge that is likely quite watery, rather than heavy. Advanced cases may lead to lethargic or lazy behavior, along with fever, lack of appetite; occasionally, pneumonia can result. Death is an ultimate possibility, though highly infrequent. Though this illness primarily affects dogs, cases with cats are not uncommon.

NZYMES Suggests the Following Procedures for Quickest Results

PLEASE FOLLOW THE 2-STEP INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY:

1: INTERNAL USAGE OF OX-E-DROPS
When kennel cough is affecting your pet, the animal should receive the NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops internally 3-times daily. Following the drop-count recommendation on the label, mix the necessary OX-E-DROPS Concentrate with some water in a syringe and gently squirt this mixture along the teeth line of the pet; the pet will normally lick/drink this mixture. Avoid squirting down the throat which can cause choking. Also add 2 to 3 drops to your dog's water dish daily - to maintain water purity, and freshen breath.

NOTE: ** Our previous published instructions suggested to simply put this mixture in a spoon full of water spill-over the pets food. However recent FDA labeling regulations require that we remove that instruction as it implies the product is a food supplement.

Internal Usage Drop-count: Use 1 drop per 20 lbs. of body weight 3 times daily, with MINIMUM OF 2-drops for small pets under 20 lbs. It is advised to continue with 3 times per day for at least a week after wellness appears to be achieved. After that, twice per day usage can help provide preventative measures and help insure against re-infection.
