ASKED QUESTIONS:

Question:

My dog cannot get up due to severe Hip-dysplasia. We are considering euthanasia to ease her pain. Can NZYMES® help her?

Answer:
In the most severe case I know, Teddy, a 6 yr. old golden retriever was unable to raise his rear-end from the ground without squealing out loud in pain. Secondly, the dog's stomach was covered with ground sores from not being able to rise up. After examining the dog in question the veterinarian suggested the following 3 options.

  1. Because of the dogs severe pain level, the veterinarian felt they should have the dog put down.

  2. They could choose to have hip surgery. Cost $2,500.00. There were no guarantees that this would truly solve the problem. (They couldn't afford this option.)

  3. Lastly he suggested they give their dog an enzyme-rich formula he had heard about NZYMES®. He suggested to go ahead and try it for one week. If there are no changes… then the best thing to do would be euthanasia.

This took place in the summer of 1992. At the end of the first week the Teddy began to get up and walk. They noticed that his sores were beginning to heal. After the second week the Teddy starting to run again.

As of the millennium, 8 years later, Teddy was "STILL ALIVE" and doing well. He could still run and play and remains the faithful loving pet they didn't want to lose.

Update: August 2001
Teddy passed away comfortably in his sleep.

dog medicationsQuestion:
Can my dog take NZYMES® if he/she is on medication?

Answer:
NZYMES®
is a blend of enzyme-rich natural "live foods". You can feel free to give it to your pet without hesitation. The product is enriched with antioxidant vitamins and is completely safe.

NZYMES® concentrated raw food sources help to generate primary metabollic enzymes in a animals body. They include Superoxide Dismutase and its counterpart Catalase, Glutathione Peroxidase and Methionine Reductase.

These enzymes help cleanse dangerous toxins and free radicals from a pets's body. Many medications, though very helpful actually do cause collateral damage in a animals body. You may have heard that statement "Has been known to cause side-effects". NZYMES® offers protection as a free radical scavenger and has NO KNOWN side-effects. We recommend doubling the amount given daily whenever a pet is taking medications.

dog hip displasiaQuestion:
Next month I will have one of my adult Great Danes neutered. How many NZYMES® should I give him during prior and post surgery days? And how many days pre and after?

Answer:
We suggest to always double the daily usage with surgery starting about 2 days before and for 1-2 weeks following - healing is usually 50% faster - generally the stitches will be healed before the Vet expects too.

We recommend doubling the amount given daily whenever a pet is taking medications.

pet productsQuestion:
My cat is not a treat-eater, how do you get cats to eat your NZYMES® treats?

Answer:
We get this question a lot. 50/50 of cats will eat the Nzymes treats plain. For more finicky animals simply crush up the NZYMES® treat and mix it their regular food with some tuna. See our feeding directions.

dog medicine alternativeQuestion:
Do your NZYMES® Granules have a distinctive taste to them? Also, I've heard that you suggest start them on the NZYMES® Antioxidant Treats instead of the granules.

Answer:
If a pet's body or immune system is compromised we usually prefer to begin by using the NZYMES® Antioxidant Treats because of the extra Vitamins and Ricebran ingredients. Also, its a good way to make sure they get the necessary double dose for the first two weeks.

NZYMES® Granules are a 100% blend of Sprouted Soy Protein and have a very mild slightly-sweet taste. . This is our base-formula which has been used so successfully for more than 15 years - When we created the treats we improved the formula with the extra ingredients. Mostly to make it convenient and easy to give to pets. However, NZYMES® granules are the main ingredient and the primary reason the product has become so successfully recognized with breeders and veteranarians throughout the country.

If you have a lot of mouths to feed, then use the NZYMES® granules which are truly more cost effective. There are 110 teaspoons per pound.
