Yeast Cleansing - What's Slowing this Down, and Why? |
IMPORTANT PRE-DISCUSSION STATEMENT:
If you are reading this, most likely you are a customer having difficulty with the resolution of these kind of problems with your Dog or Cat. Though the vast majority of cases go quite well, we get a small number of these "exception" cases each month, and we expect them; this is because we are highly aware of the many kinds of complications that can factor into the equation, and retard or even halt progress. The most important thing to note in such a case: If resolution is not well underway by 3 months, it's likely to be a time-consuming case (because of such complications), and YOU ARE LIKELY NOT GOING TO REACH THE GOAL WITHOUT SOME ASSISTANCE and guidance from NZYMES.COM staff. This is one reason we here for you - with free phone support. It's pain-free to call us.
The MAIN POINT IS... if you have one of these challenging cases, and are trying to 'wing it' - on your own - without our guidance, your chances of failure are very strong! Please allow us to help you - so you can reach that ultimate goal - of properly restored health for your Pet. We promise you, your vet cannot solve these problems for you. Every month we'll receive 2 or 3 typical refund requests, and associated remarks, from a few customers who were trying to 'wing it' on their own - because in their minds, "it's all about the products; I bought these products, and they (alone) should solve the problem". It's just NOT that simple; we wish it were. The NZYMES Yeast Removal Program is just that, a program; the products are a major part of it, but it's more complex than just using the products. AND - they must be used correctly!!!
However, all hope is not lost at this time. For those customers with a true desire to restore wellness for their pet(s), and who are open to such communication, we can usually get them directed to the point of properly progressing - and eventual wellness.
Yeast Candida problems are always quite challenging for people to deal with, but even more so for the handful of cases that are tougher than others. For this handful that get very tough to resolve, we stand ready to put much effort into assisting the customer in achieving success. KEEP IN MIND... that the Yeast issue is not a disease - that is acquired (from some bug); rather, it is a disorder - that is caused, primarily from destructive side effects of Antibiotics, Vaccinations, chlorine in water, or poor quality foods.
The remainder of this article is designed to provide you with the kind of infomation and assistance that we would provide via phone; this can be very useful - since we're not always available via phone. It's all about those typical complications and considerations that are involved in the cases that do not go well, or at least go very slowly.
OVERVIEW: Yeast Candida ~ Systemic Yeast Infection ~ Candidiasis
This is a terrible and sometimes really tough issue to resolve. It is also the most prominent problem in dogs (and some cats) that we at NZYMES® have to deal with. We are really sorry your pet has been stricken with this type of condition, but don't feel alone; as you can see from our testimonials, there are tons of people out there that have gone through it - or are in progress. In fact there are even more success stories involving yeast where customers have been convinced 'allergies' were the issue. We have dealt with 10's of Thousands of cases over the years, and there's no slowdown in sight. At any given time, we may have 4-6 thousand currently active cases in our customer set. With these numbers, you might get the impression we were the experts on this matter.
In about 9 out of 10 cases, progress is fairly smooth and progressive; we rarely hear from most of those customers, except for reorders. For the other 10% or so, things go more slowly, and with more difficulty. Then there may be a very small percentage where the customer is having a really hard time, and there are various reasons for this situation. If you're reading this page, you may be one of them.
HEALING FACTORS
First off, you must understand that the pets own immune system, and how well it is functioning, is the most important factor in getting the pet clear of this terrible condition. This is why the Thyroid, and it's condition plays such a big role in the timing of progress; more on that below. However, there are actually dozens of things that factor in to how long the cleansing process may take, and how well it will go. On rare occasion, there will be a pet that may take up to a year or even more to get clear - and this is just with the outside symptoms. Also, there are those times when there are other conditions involved that further complicate the matter - such as Mangeproblems or Hypothyroidism.
TIMING FACTORS
What are the items that factor into the timing? Let's list some, logically:
- How bad the problem is; we see all severity levels, from the very minor to major cases with flaming-red skin, wet and smelly with yeast secretions, unbelievable itching, shaking, and more. Such 'radical' cases will generally take longer.
- How LONG the problem has existed is a really big factor; if it's been years, this means a longer healing time.
- Then there is the history of medications - steroids, antibiotics, antihistamines - which ones have been involved and for how long. Each medication type can leave its own variety of toxins in the body, adding to the cleansing job.
- Then there is immune system unresponsiveness that may result from meds like Steroids - that are severe immune system suppressants.
- Recovery of the immune system, and how well it kicks in after removal of all these meds is a prominent factor.
- Low Thyroid is a key issue; in most cases where the pet is not progressing between month 2 and 3, the Thyroid is found to be low - restricting function of the immune system.
The thyroid functions as the 'modulator' of the immune system, which is why an improperly balanced or functioning thryroid can hold back progress with the Yeast cleansing. When we see dogs/cats not progressing (occasionally) at 2-3 months into the program, this is where we will urge the customer to proceed with getting an ACCURATE assessment of Thyroid function. An 'Accurate' assessment can only be obtained by an expert, and such assessment not only needs to take everything into consideration with the Pet, but it is critical that whoever is doing it is very familiar with the NZYMES yeast cleansing program, and what you are trying to accomplish with it. Your neighborhood Vet is not likely to be able to deliver this accuracy. This is where Dr. Jean Dodds comes into the picture.
In a very HIGH percentage of 'slow progress' cases, where Dr. Dodds has had a chance to evaluate the thyroid of the patient (pet), T3+T4 levels (or sub-levels) are found to be lower than optimum; and, once the patient has been on a properly prescribed medication - correcting thyroid operation - the patient will then begin to progress reasonably on the NZYMES yeast cleansing program.
