Jake has always been an energetic, active part of our family, going everywhere with us. About a year ago he started displaying signs of arthritis, deteriorating very quickly. This was heartbreaking for us as he now was battling to get up and was in a lot of pain. Instead of following me everywhere, he now just watched where I went and only attempted to get up when I went out of sight.

We tried numerous homeopathic remedies which showed no improvement in Jake. We then started Jake on Rimadyl which did help slightly but only with a very high dosage. We were very concerned about the negative side effects of this medication but were advised by our Vet that the only option we had was to keep him on the Rimadyl or put Jake down. I was devastated with that diagnosis.
