Systemic Yeast Infection, Aka:
Yeast Candida ~ Candida Albicans ~ Candidiasis

If not sure if Yeast Candida is what you are dealing with, you may want to visit this page first - YEAST ASSESSMENT

Various names are used to refer to this, the most common condition with dogs (and some cats) for which NZYMES® receives "Please help" requests. This is an illness, but not one which is acquired; as this issue is a digestive disorder which is 'caused'. With this illness, the Candida Albicans form of Yeast (a powerful & evasive pathogen) has taken control of the Gut, via infections growing on intestinal tissues. This page provides a brief overview of the Yeast Candida problem; for the comprehensive overview of the problem, and our Yeast Removal Program, see our Yeast Problem Information page.

Example of Yeast lesions in the GutAs mentioned, this illness is a result of damage to the protective FLORA, or beneficial bacteria colonies that normally coat the internal walls of the intestines. The most prevalent causes for the Flora damage are Antibiotic use, steroids and even the normal vaccination protocols (Rabies being the most upsetting to the system). When the 'good bacteria' colonies have been damaged, destroyed, or stripped away by whatever means, the Yeast Candida pathogen (floating around in the digestive tract) will seize the opportunity to attach to the bare intestinal walls (see left). This development allows tiny particles of food and medications to leak through and enter the BODY CAVITY.  With the resulting infections on intestinal tissues, the yeast is able to feed and grow - worsening infections. The main feeding element - sugar, coming into the body mostly from High Glycemic Foods, such as corn, wheat flour or gluten, potatoes, isolated white rice, etc.

If you already feel confident the Yeast Candida is what you're dealing with, you can continue learning about it and our Yeast remove program here - Yeast Problem Information. If, as touched on in following paragraphs, you're mindset is all wrapped up with the diagnosis of Allergies, then you need to visit this assessment page - Allergies, or Yeast?  Unfortunately, most people dealing with this issue in their petshave been led to believe their pet has ALLERGIES. Veterinarian medical education rarely touches on the nutritional issues that affect the digestive tract; as a result, most Vets have little knowledge of Candida and how it contributes to a Systemic Yeast Infection or Leaky-Gut Condition. Medications and special foods for allergy treatment are suggested by your vet as the solution, but these often provide the perfect environment for the Candida yeast condition to actually expand and worsen.

Your Vet May Suggest Allergy Testing
Expensive allergy tests of a pet with this condition will often produce FALSE POSITIVE RESULTS, making it look like the pet has sensitivities to multiple sources when it really doesn't. This happens because the pet's immune system is severely compromised.

A Thyroid Condition May Be Involved
We always recommend a full thyroid panel for pet's exhibiting multiple symptoms from the yeast checklist. A large number of the yeast cases we work with also have a
low thyroid condition. Such pets require regular medication and it is important to note that the testing agency needs to know the types of medications used previously as these can corrupt the thyroid test result. We recommend having your pet's blood work done by Dr. Jean Dodds. She is the leading expert on Autoimmune Thyroiditis.

At NZYMES.COM our major focus is helping our customers achieve RESULTS! We suggest good nutrition programs along with accurate information. The goal is to use nutritional support in ways that will help the body repair and restore wellness naturally, and then continue that wellness with a minimum maintenance program.

Real Help for your Your Pet:

When beginning to do battle with a "Yeast Candida" problem, you should not expect a quick resolution.  From our vast experience with these issues, we can state that the resolution can be very challenging, and on some occasions - greatly difficult.

That being said, you should obtain ONE of the following NZYMES Yeast Kits:
  • Small Yeast Kit - for pets of a smaller size, usually under 60 lbs.
  • Large Yeast Kit - for pets of larger size, OVER 60 lbs; or 2 small pets
  • Super Yeast Kit, Small - for 2 or more Smaller pets with Yeast issues; a value-priced kit that provides enough product to last a substantial time.
  • Super Yeast Kit, Large - for 2 or more Larger pets (61-150 lbs.); again, a value-priced collection of the right products to last a substantial period of time when you are unfortunate enough to have several larger dogs with these skin and itch issues.

If you still have any uncertainty after reviewing everything provided, don't hesitate to call us for a consultation on the matter (877-816-6500). However, please be assured that, when it comes to these kind of skin, itch, ear, and odor problems, there is very little chance that the issue is not Yeast Candida overgrowth, which is THE most widespread health issue with dogs these days. How can we state that? We add typically over 600-800 new cases every month to our case files.

REVIEW:
At this point you should have reviewed, at least once, the information on Yeast Candida Assessment page. This will help with understanding the problem. Example pictures there are of more severe cases, since minor cases may not show up well in photos. The most prevalent causative factors for this type of illness are:  antibiotic use, vaccination reactions, poorer quality pet foods, stress, chlorine in tap water, etc.

WHAT THE PRODUCTS DO:
Resolving the Candidiasis problem requires a 4-part approach, Using products seen to your left:
  1. Strengthen or improve the metabolic processes of the body, and help it to clear toxins; the Antioxidant Granules or Treats (typically referred to as the "Nzymes®") have a key role in these processes.
  2. Combat the Candida Yeast that has taken control of the gut; the Ox-E-Drops and the Tincture of Black-Leaf are the key players for this very challenging role.
  3. Reestablish beneficial bacteria control of Intestinal tissues; the Bac~Pak Plus product has the job (as Candida is destroyed) of helping to replenish or rebuild good-bacteria colonies to reestablish a properly operational and healthy gut.
  4. Improve nutrient absorption - for promoting better health nutritionally. Both the Bac~Pak Plus and the Antioxidant Granules or Treats are instrumental, in different ways, in this process.

Resolving Systemic Yeast Infection, AKA - Yeast Candida, or Candidiasis - is a time consuming and somewhat complex issue.

No matter which Kit or set of products you purchase, the Program directions are followed the same way, using these What To Do Instructions (click to review or print).

Use the How NZYMES Can Help tab to determine the Kit you will use, and then follow the WTD instructions carefully - understanding that this is not a quick process. BUT, if you don't see some results within the first 2 months, you should definitely be on the phone with us, as there is likely something else contributing to the problems, OR there may be instructions not well understood (we see this regularly).
