Systemic Yeast Infection, Aka:
Yeast Candida ~ Candida Albicans ~ Candidiasis
If not sure if Yeast Candida is what you are dealing with, you may want to visit this page first - YEAST ASSESSMENT
Various names are used to refer to this, the most common condition with dogs (and some cats) for which NZYMES® receives "Please help" requests. This is an illness, but not one which is acquired; as this issue is a digestive disorder which is 'caused'. With this illness, the Candida Albicans form of Yeast (a powerful & evasive pathogen) has taken control of the Gut, via infections growing on intestinal tissues. This page provides a brief overview of the Yeast Candida problem; for the comprehensive overview of the problem, and our Yeast Removal Program, see our Yeast Problem Information page.
As mentioned, this illness is a result of damage to the protective FLORA, or beneficial bacteria colonies that normally coat the internal walls of the intestines. The most prevalent causes for the Flora damage are Antibiotic use, steroids and even the normal vaccination protocols (Rabies being the most upsetting to the system). When the 'good bacteria' colonies have been damaged, destroyed, or stripped away by whatever means, the Yeast Candida pathogen (floating around in the digestive tract) will seize the opportunity to attach to the bare intestinal walls (see left). This development allows tiny particles of food and medications to leak through and enter the BODY CAVITY. With the resulting infections on intestinal tissues, the yeast is able to feed and grow - worsening infections. The main feeding element - sugar, coming into the body mostly from High Glycemic Foods, such as corn, wheat flour or gluten, potatoes, isolated white rice, etc.
If you already feel confident the Yeast Candida is what you're dealing with, you can continue learning about it and our Yeast remove program here - Yeast Problem Information. If, as touched on in following paragraphs, you're mindset is all wrapped up with the diagnosis of Allergies, then you need to visit this assessment page - Allergies, or Yeast?Unfortunately, most people dealing with this issue in their petshave been led to believe their pet has ALLERGIES. Veterinarian medical education rarely touches on the nutritional issues that affect the digestive tract; as a result, most Vets have little knowledge of Candida and how it contributes to a Systemic Yeast Infectionor Leaky-Gut Condition. Medications and special foods for allergy treatment are suggested by your vet as the solution, but these often provide the perfect environment for the Candida yeast condition to actually expand and worsen.
Your Vet May Suggest Allergy Testing Expensive allergy tests of a pet with this condition will often produce FALSE POSITIVE RESULTS, making it look like the pet has sensitivities to multiple sources when it really doesn't. This happens because the pet's immune system is severely compromised.
A Thyroid Condition May Be Involved We always recommend a full thyroid panel for pet's exhibiting multiple symptoms from the yeast checklist. A large number of the yeast cases we work with also have a low thyroid condition. Such pets require regular medication and it is important to note that the testing agency needs to know the types of medications used previously as these can corrupt the thyroid test result. We recommend having your pet's blood work done by Dr. Jean Dodds. She is the leading expert on Autoimmune Thyroiditis.
At NZYMES.COM our major focus is helping our customers achieve RESULTS! We suggest good nutrition programs along with accurate information. The goal is to use nutritional support in ways that will help the body repair and restore wellness naturally, and then continue that wellness with a minimum maintenance program.

Real Help for your Your Pet:
When beginning to do battle with a "Yeast Candida" problem, you should not expect a quick resolution. From our vast experience with these issues, we can state that the resolution can be very challenging, and on some occasions - greatly difficult.
That being said, you should obtain ONE of the following NZYMES Yeast Kits:
Small Yeast Kit- for pets of a smaller size, usually under 60 lbs.
Large Yeast Kit - for pets of larger size, OVER 60 lbs; or 2 small pets.
Super Yeast Kit, Small - for 2 or more Smaller pets with Yeast issues; a value-priced kit that provides enough product to last a substantial time.
Super Yeast Kit, Large - for 2 or more Larger pets (61-150 lbs.); again, a value-priced collection of the right products to last a substantial period of time when you are unfortunate enough to have several larger dogs with these skin and itch issues.
If you still have any uncertainty after reviewing everything provided, don't hesitate to call us for a consultation on the matter (877-816-6500). However, please be assured that, when it comes to these kind of skin, itch, ear, and odor problems, there is very little chance that the issue is not Yeast Candida overgrowth, which is THE most widespread health issue with dogs these days. How can we state that? We add typically over 600-800 new cases every month to our case files.
REVIEW:
At this point you should have reviewed, at least once, the information on Yeast Candida Assessment page. This will help with understanding the problem. Example pictures there are of more severe cases, since minor cases may not show up well in photos. The most prevalent causative factors for this type of illness are: antibiotic use, vaccination reactions, poorer quality pet foods, stress, chlorine in tap water, etc.
WHAT THE PRODUCTS DO:
Resolving the Candidiasis problem requires a 4-part approach, Using products seen to your left:
Strengthen or improve the metabolic processes of the body, and help it to clear toxins; the Antioxidant Granules or Treats (typically referred to as the "Nzymes®") have a key role in these processes.
Combat the Candida Yeast that has taken control of the gut; the Ox-E-Drops and the Tincture of Black-Leaf are the key players for this very challenging role.
Reestablish beneficial bacteria control of Intestinal tissues; the Bac~Pak Plus product has the job (as Candida is destroyed) of helping to replenish or rebuild good-bacteria colonies to reestablish a properly operational and healthy gut.
Improve nutrient absorption - for promoting better health nutritionally. Both the Bac~Pak Plus and the Antioxidant Granules or Treats are instrumental, in different ways, in this process.

Around late October of 2007 we started to notice our Great Pyrenees Alf Ralph was developing a rash on his belly and legs, after consulting with the vet I was given a two week supply of antibiotics to treat his skin. After two weeks the rash had gotten noticeably worse and Alf was scratching and biting at himself constantly and pulling at his hair.
I went back to the vets and they offered me some more medications, but after the conversation I wasn't left feeling confident that he was being diagnosed properly and wasn't sure what to do. Within 3 weeks Alf had pulled allot of his hair out and had been biting at his feet to the point they were raw and bleeding in some spots.
Alf's health had seriously deteriorated; he had lost 25-30 pounds... Click for Full Story...

May 25, 2005 I wish I would have taken pictures of our Allison before giving her NZYMES®. Our dog has been miserable for many years. When she was about a year and a half old, she developed allergies which led to constant itching and scratching and hair loss.
Her 'allergies' symptoms were always worse during the summer and seemed to ease up during the winter. Each year, she gradually got worse. She lost a lot of hair and her skin would turn black, swollen, leathery, and smelly. She is a great dog with a perfect temperament, but she had gotten so bad over the last years that I sometimes would consider putting her to sleep just so that she wouldn't suffer anymore. We tried all different types of medicines, but most were very expensive and probably not good for her overall health.
Then, in mid February 2005, I came across the NZYMES® site while browsing the internet. The testimonials about yeast problems sounded promising and the pictures looked too good to be true. Honestly, I was very skeptical and doubted the product, but I had spent so much money trying other medications that I figured that we would at least give it a try.
As suggested in the Yeast article we switched dog foods. We actually noticed some improvements just from switching to the suggested foods. We then began giving her NZYMES®Yeast Kit in late February. Within three months, she has almost turned back into the healthy, normal dog. Her hair is growing back and the tough, black skin is disappearing. Furthermore, she will actually lie around the house now WITHOUT constantly scratching or chewing at herself.
We recently took her to a lady that has been grooming her since she was a pup. She couldn't believe the difference. Before, her hair was so bad that we would have to completely shave her because what little hair that she had would matt terribly because of the skin problems. Now she actually has a cocker-cut! I never thought I'd see the day again! Her coat actually has a nice sheen and luster again. She still has some bad spots, but they continually seem to be getting smaller and better. We'll continue to give her the NZYMES®Yeast Kit product to see what happens. Thanks for giving us our dog back! Your program has been a blessing! Our family thanks you very much.

October 22, 2002 Blizzard was a healthy 90-pound, five-year-old white German shepherd. During this past year (2001 - 2002), her health started declining dramatically. Her skin had become very itchy and inflamed and she was constantly chewing and biting at herself. She began losing hair over most of her body to the point where you could see her skin. Also, her skin had a bad odor and had blackened in some areas.
I took her to numerous vets and dermatologists, but no one could tell me what was wrong or how to remedy the problem. The Vet's best guess was to give her five (5) Benadryl per day after numerous rounds of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications. If anyone saw her they were shocked at her appearance because she looked as if she had been thrown from of a car.
You could tell that Blizzard felt bad! Finish, the --- Blizzard Story
Brandi Breed: Golden Retriever Age: 8 yrs Problems: Allergies, yeast, ear infections, leaky gut, smelly odors, body sores, hair loss, bad breath
I have had my 9 year old Golden Retriever "BRANDI" on your YEAST program for 3 months now and she’s doing great; my wife and I can’t believe the difference. We’ve spent literally thousands of dollars on her allergy tests and treatments: antibiotics and steroids for yeast infections, medications for her ears, leaky gut, smelly odors, body sores, hair loss, bad breath and the list goes on and on. It was very difficult to stop all the medications and start your program; you see, our son is a Veterinarian. Even he can’t believe the difference. She’s playing and running around like she used to when she was 2 and 3 years old.

February 17, 2004 Enclosed are a few pictures of Callie, our Golden Retriever. The first picture, from August 2002, shows how Callie looked before this terrible experience began. However, we want you to know that the pictures do NOT show how bad our dog was or how miserable she felt.
Also we have included a brief medical history of the long labor intensive road to her return to health and happiness. Callie was about eleven and half years old in August, 2002. She suddenly appeared to have become allergic to something, so we took her to the veterinarian.
Her eyes swollen and her face was puffy
Her ears became so swollen they split-open around the edges
She had a Lick Granuloma on her left front paw for years but when this problem started it doubled in size
HER SYMPTOMS:
Her eyes swollen and her face was puffy, she was itching everywhere, especially her feet, face, head, inner thighs, and back of her upper front legs.
Callies's ears became so swollen, to the point where they were splitting-open around the edges. She had rubbed on the grass and when it snowed, she rubbed on the snow until she had scratched almost all of the hair off of her facial eye area. She had scratched almost all the hair off her ears and had open lesions on her ear joints about the size of a quarter.
There were sores on her face and neck.
She had black skin all across the top of her head, around her eyes, her inner thighs, abdomen, belly, anus and urinary area.
The sides of her upper tail and butt had an eczema-type condition.
Her nose was mostly pink.
She would stick her back feet in her mouth and try to scratch the inside of her pads.
When the first Vet saw Callie, he said she looked like a typical "allergy" dog. He said that she looked as though her immune system was stressed out. So he prescribed an oral Prednisone regime for a month along with antibiotics and allergy pills. The vet also suggested that she was to have a hypo-allergenic dog food, (it was a disgusting white stuff). Callie nearly went crazy with hunger as the steroids made her ravenous!
After about 6 weeks with no improvement, we took her to another vet, a "skin specialist". He said This is an allergy dog. Her immune system has shut down. We will have to try shocking her system back". After giving the history of the previous vet's assault on this affliction, he said we'd try a similar but slightly different approach. Instead of oral Prednisone, he injected her with the steroid (even though both veterinarians stated that steroids would possibly shorten her life span.) He also prescribed an antibiotic and more allergy pills, but different types.
This second medication regime did nothing to improve her condition as well. He did allow us to give her some dog food with some substance. We fed her IAMS Lamb and Rice with some fresh cooked chicken. Callie was still searching out any deer droppings that she could find in the woods near where we live. She was so hungry, she even got into garbage which she had NEVER done since we adopted her at the age of 5. It was obvious that her body was craving something.
By November 2002, we were at our wits end but we still felt we had to try everything. Since she had also been in close contact with 4 packrats in late summer, we asked this vet if he could give us a mite control medication even though he didn't think that was her problem, and he prescribed 4 vials of this to be given (1) each week. Nothing changed. So therefore, by the end of December 2002 we were very frustrated and poor Callie was very miserable.
Then, in January 2003, a friend sent us an e-mail regarding ITCHY GOLDEN RETRIEVERS from NZYMES.COM and an Yeast article by Linda Arndt from Blackwatch Great Dane http://www.greatdanelady.com/. Wow, this gave us hope! Almost every symptom she described matched what we observed with our dog.
After receiving our first order in mid-January 2003. We started the program by using NZYMES®Antioxidant Treats and Ox-E-Drops. We used the Ox-E-Drops 2% spray on her eyes, ears and ear joint lesions, face, etc. Within 3-6 weeks, the lesions were healed.
Note: The growths on her left front paw had been there for years but since this condition started and for the next several months, they doubled in size. The veterinarians refer to it as a lick granuloma. After about 6 months from starting the NZYMES® and Ox-E-Drops with vinegar and the yeast shampoo program, the growths had almost gone and the hair had grown over them. (See the August 03 after using the program for 6-7 months.)
3/8/04 Showing her eyes and face back to normal
Callie will be 13 the first of March. She still takes several walks each day, 2-3 miles, even though she has had both of her rear cruciate leg ligaments ruptured. One leg had surgery before we adopted her at age 4. Still she continues to trot happily everywhere and snoops and smells to "read her paper" everywhere she goes and loves to go for rides.
PS. We just recently learned about using a probiotic like BacPak Plus and have added that to Callie's daily regimen. We can allready see more improvements now that the good bacteria in her GI tract is starting to rebuild itself. We hope to keep her healthy with her NZYMES® and Eaglepack dog food and Glucosamine and enjoy her for some years to come.
Thank the good Lord and thank NZYMES.COM. Thank you!
Lyle & Carolyn McIsaac - Marion, MT and of course Callie!
UPDATE March 8, 2004 Here are pictures of Callie, our dog. She is cured!
FEBRUARY 2008 Cassi, our Miniature Dachshund, had no symptoms during the first two years of her life. Initially she started losing some fur on her legs, and her ears became infected. They began to look purplish red in color, and they were so tender that Cassi would cry-out when you touched them.
When I took her to the vet, I was told she had a yeast infection in her ears and on her legs. I was prescribed some eardrops; Malaseb wipes; oral medication; and medicated shampoo. None of these things worked much for her.
As time progressed, the problem became much worse. Her skin started to look like elephant skin, her fur was oily and had a really bad smell, and she began to get blackened skin on her stomach, in her armpits, and even on her cheeks. Her feet became swollen and she started to get sores. At this point I had tried so many things to help her, and nothing could make her feel better or make the problem clear up. I had spent a lot of money on medications and shampoos, and felt like I was wasting my money.
Example photos. Click any image for larger version. Use Backspace or 'Back' to return.
I was constantly searching the internet for information on dogs with yeast infections, and finally stumbled across the NZYMES.COM website. Being a skeptic, I wasn’t sure about spending the money for a yeast kit. After reading the testimonials, I thought it couldn’t hurt to go ahead and try it. I knew if it made any difference at all in her condition, it would be well worth it. Cassi started on the NZYMES® in June of 2007. After about two and a half weeks I noticed that her skin didn’t seem to be as oily. Her ears were not as inflamed. She stopped the constant chewing on her legs and constant scratching.
Her condition continued to clear up, and today she is a different dog. She remains on the NZYMES® Yeast-kit, and is fed Eagle Pack dog food (duck). Her personality has completely changed too. She now loves to play with our two other Dachshunds and you can just tell how happy she is. I would recommend this product to anyone who doesn’t want to see their pet suffer anymore. It’s well worth it!
Cedar Breed: Golden Retriever Age: 4 yrs Problems: Itching, scratching
March 31, 2004 Cedar itched constantly from the day we brought her home at 7 months almost three years ago. We tried everything under the sun, from homeopathy to nutritional changes to topical applications and colloidal silver. Nothing worked for her. She still itched.
On February 17th, 2004, I went to the Yahoo search engine and typed in “Golden Retriever itchies” and, of course, the results came up with pages and pages of links. One page was NZYMES.COM. I checked out the site and decided their products certainly couldn’t hurt, and just might help. I bought two bottles of the NZYMES®Antioxidant Treats and one bottle of the NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops. I also got a free bottle of the treats as a new customer. They came two days later by Priority Mail. Great customer service!
Well, just a little over month later and Cedar is no longer itching! The site said it would probably take 2-3 weeks to see any difference. The 3 week mark came while we were in Jamaica. My son was taking care of her and religiously giving her the NZYMES® treats (which she loves). Well, we arrived home to a dog that didn’t itch, and hasn’t itched since. I did cut her back from initial double-dose of four treats per day to three per day after a week of not itching, but she started a little itching again so I upped her back to four. I don't care if I have to feed her four treats a day forever I’m just happy to have an itch-free dog for the first time in three years!
Chassy Breed: Bullmastiff Age: 3 yrs Problems: Yeast, Shedding, Hair Loss, Rash, Dirty Ears, Red Eyes, Itchy Arm Pits, Blackening Of Skin, Swollen Ankles, Lack Of Energy
January 2, 2006 Chassy is my two year old Bullmastiff. She had been having problems with yeast since she was 6 months old. She was so sick it completely ruined her puppy hood. I didn't know what she had for over 6 months. The vets knew nothing and after spending thousands of dollars with them and getting no results I started my own research.
First I put her on a barf diet, this actually helped to take care of her problem but then I moved her from California to Colorado, which helped tons more. At one point, she was having trouble throwing up at night on the barf diet, so after I got to Colorado I made the mistake of trying her on Science Diet Sensitive Skin and she broke out and started losing hair all over again. That was a big mistake! Just one month of a wrong food can take months to fix, it's not worth trying to switch.
I found the NZYMES® Yeast Kit info online and decided to try it along with Eagle Pack holistic chicken dog food. Now, a few months later, she is beautiful again! She does still have a little bit of redness around her private areas but besides that nothing, and, those areas are nearly cleared up.
Thank you so much for this your products and this program. My two new Bullmastiff puppies and my cat are healthy and happy as well. Between the holistic feeding and NZYMES® you can really have great results. I know a lot of Bullmastiffs have this problem and I wanted to make sure you had this story in your testimonials file.
Thank you so much, Connie Govin - Parker, CO

April 5, 2004 This is Dino’s story, my little buddy, and how a lot of love, caring people, skilled doctors, quality food and “NZYMES” nutritional products took this cat from near death to a beautiful healthy feline. Dino is a black nine-year old (12 pound) Domestic short hair who befriended me at our home in Squaw Valley, California. One morning, when he was not much larger than a kitten, he quickly became our “outdoor” cat since we had another indoor cat named Tigger that would not allow any strange furry feline critters in her home.
Our beloved Tigger had been having major health issues and on March 5, 2002 she went to live at God’s home, thus allowing a deeper relationship to develop with Dino.
At some point in Dino’s young life he injured his pallet. A bone or something poked a small hole in the roof of his mouth. This caused him to frequently sneeze and blow; you know what, all over the place. Dino had a habit of blowing his nose at the most inopportune times. Our Veterinarian told us that this surgery, which is not always successful, would cost right at $500.00, (money was also an issue) so he stayed an outdoor cat even though he had major interests in the interior of Tigger’s abode.
We didn’t realize that bacteria had been building up in Dino’s nostril, which would cause a severe respiratory infection and a very high white blood cell count. Meanwhile, as Dino’s health was in a consistent decline, I accidentally backed over him with my pick-up on August 30, 2003. After two lengthy trips to the emergency hospital in Visalia for treatment during the weekend and a lot of prayer for him, he held on until I could take him in to Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic in Visalia. There he had emergency surgery to repair a torn stomach lining and to secure his entire stomach (which was hanging off to the left side) to his rib cage with dissolvable sutures. His tail was also broken right in the pelvic area but no other bones were broken or displaced.
Dino was then started on lengthy courses of antibiotics. I knew they were helping to kill the infection but at the expense of his immune system, overall health and his ability to digest food properly. I also knew that there must be something somewhere to help him recover completely but I had not yet found it.
He eventually did recover enough for us to consider the surgery in his mouth, but just before we could have the surgery scheduled, the respiratory infection reared its ugly head and his white cell count shot up to 38,000 from the normal count of about 7,000 in cats. A high fever accompanied this turn of events and left him so stiff he could hardly walk. Dino was really sick. He went back on antibiotics for a couple more weeks.
For several years and right up to this point, Dino’s skin was flaky and he itched and scratched all the time. His hair was dull, black and lifeless and he had very little energy. In fact, we had never seen Dino go out of his way to find things on his own to play with.
We were told he had an allergy to fish and/or fish meal in any amount because he would pull out clumps of his hair within hours of introducing fish in his diet. I was buying and applying anti itch products to his skin just to try to give him some relief all to no avail. I felt so sorry for him.
When we met with the Doctors at Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic in February 2004, to schedule his pallet surgery, a heart murmur was detected and he was diagnosed with a thickening of the chamber walls of his heart. The Doctor was concerned that Dino might die on the operating table. We gave him permission to proceed with the surgery because he would probably pass-on due to the respiratory infection sooner or later anyway. The surgery went very well and was a complete success! But Dino was still quite a mess with his skin and coat problems!
I did a lot of searching for answers on the Internet and this is where I discovered the fine folks at “BioPet” and their family of NZYMES® products. I knew we had to do something to help our friend. After reading much of the considerable amount of information and testimonials on their Web Site, we ordered some of their products for his heart and recovery from surgery and started Dino on NZYMES®YEAST KIT including the Tincture of Black Leaf. Within six weeks the flakes and itching were completely gone plus his coat was now soft, shiny black and his energy level was through the roof! We also followed the recommendation of BioPet to change Dino’s diet from “grain” based low quality foods to which many animals are allergic, to meat based quality canned and dry foods available in our area at Whitie’s Pets in Fresno CA.
Dino is now a very happy, energetic and healthy cat plus his heart is now operating without a murmur and sounds strong. BioPet -NZYMES.COM, and to the skillful surgery of Dr. Matt Humason Jr. and his staff at Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic. Without the help of these fine folks, Dino’s outcome would have been decidedly different.

December 19, 2003 Dusty has been taking NZYMES®Antioxidant Treats and Ox-E-Drops for 5 months. After only 2 weeks of taking them, I began to see his skin disorders clearing up.
Dusty has always had skin problems since he was a pup. No matter what the veterinarian prescribed, nothing worked. His skin was so bad that we had to give him a bath every second day, because he smelled so bad. He scratched and licked himself constantly.
Since taking the NZYMES® his skin is beautiful. The dark and leathery spots disappeared and he doesn’t scratch or smell any more. His hair filled-in and he runs around like a puppy.
Thank you for giving us our dog back and making him happy and healthy Dusty. I have recommended your products to two of my friends who have already ordered from you.
Ellie A. Breed: Labrador Retriever Problems: Yeast problem, Chronic ear infections, Chewing feet, Low energy
May 17, 2004 Ellie is one of 3 Chocolate labs living in our home. She is the baby; we have her mom and her mom’s sister. All of them were born in my living room and they are my children. When Ellie was born we knew she was special, what a love! I first noticed signs of the ear problems when she was about 8 months old.
As usual I took her to the vets and they gave me prednisone, what a mistake! For 2 years the vets put her on and off different medications, gave me different things to clean and flush her ears at a cost of thousands of dollars basically telling me the same thing. None of these expensive medications worked, yes they helped but nothing got rid of the infection as it would just come back in a few weeks. I was told many times she had allergies to her food, but they couldn't tell me what in her food was causing the problem. My husband and I were at our wits end! Ellie she would shake her head so much we were afraid she would have brain damage she was 30 lbs over weight and was acting like an old dog.
Under the suggestion of a friend I went to another vet, he suggested that I cook her food for her. Once I started the home cooked meals there was marked improvement in her overall health she went from 110 lb. dog to 82 lbs. However, the ear infections were better but still not gone. I used a more holistic solution for her ears but was still cleaning them every other day and they still had the yeast smell! I was still frustrated and spending lots more money on making a special diet for her.
Then I found NZYMES®, and was so upset that none of the vets told me about this product. I now know why, because it works! And, if it works then I don't need to keep going to the vets!
I faithfully followed the What To Do Instructions for one month including purchasing the dog food suggested and we have a NEW DOG! She is so healthy, her ears are clean no more head shaking, and digging at them with her paws! Now, I only clean them once a week and there’s NO MORE YEAST SMELL!! Her coat is like silk, she is so much happier and her energy is amazing and she loves her new food! She used to beg me to clean her ears because they itched so badly now when it's time she looks at me with the "do we have to" expression that only comes from a happy dog! I cannot tell you what a relief it is to not have to worry about making her food every week I feel like I have my life back and my pocket book. My husband and I are so impressed with the results that we have put the other dogs on the same system!
THANK YOU NZYMES®, YOU SAVED MY DOGS LIFE AND MINE TOO!!

At the beginning of May ‘08 we started noticing that our almost 13-year-old mix breed dog, Ginger, was starting to have some skin problems. She has had some minor problems in the past, mostly in the spring, so we didn’t think much of it. She progressively started to get worse but I thought I could manage her “hot spots” with hydro cortisone sprays etc.
On June 6, 2008 we decided to take her to the vet as she was really getting bad and she was scratching non-stop. He wasn’t sure what she had but took a scraping to see if it was mange. The test came out negative so he said...

October 27, 2005 In December 2004, I was at the last straw for our precious dog Grace. She was covered in sores on her feet, legs, back, ears and neck (see above). The odor from the sores was unbearable at times. She constantly scratched at the sores and chewed on her feet.
I took her to the vet and she was tested and tested for just about every kind of allergy. She had been on antibiotics and steroids for several months.Prior to this major break-out and for issues with pancreatitis and her itchy skin. I was unaware of the fact that we were just adding to her yeast problems by pumping her full of more and more antibiotics. I knew if we did not find help for Grace soon, I would have to consider having her put to sleep.
I began searching the internet for answers and solutions and came across the BioPet's NZYMES.COM website. The testimonies I read about sounded so similar to Grace's story. I decided to give the Yeast Kit a shot, besides what did I have to lose?
My husband was very skeptical about the NZYMES® products. I told him that we should give the products 3 months and if they did not work, we would take other measures. I started the NZYMES® Yeast Program and was very dedicated to following it. At Christmas time, about 3 weeks into the program, Grace began to smell like you would not believe. She had lost so much of her hair and she looked terrible. She was going through the deep cleansing we had been informed about. She became lethargic and stopped playing and even stopped eating for short periods of time. Just for her to get up and move around was a chore.
My husband began to question my decision even more. I told him that I having Grace on the yeast-kit, compared to having a loved one on chemo therapy. "You never know for sure what the outcome may be, but it sure is worth the try to save someone you love."
Over the holidays we traveled to our family's house, Grace went too, smell and all. I did not want to miss giving her any of her meds. A turn around for Grace finally became apparent mid January, about six weeks into the program. I began to notice small amounts of hair growing back on her ears. I was so excited, and so was everyone else that knew about her illness. As time continued, more and more great things began to happen. Her energy began to come back. She would actually play catch in the backyard. She started eating. Hair began to grow more rapidly all over her body and the odor was gone. I stood in amazement. My husband could not believe what he was seeing. Grace was given a new lease on life. Friends who had seen Grace at her worse, saw her two months later and were totally shocked. It was truly amazing to see the miracle that was taking place in Grace's body.
Unfortunately, at the end of May 2005, Grace passed away due to heart problems. I was of course very saddened by this, but I was also grateful for the fact that her last few months I was able to see a turn around with in her skin and her activity level. With BioPet's help and concern, Grace was given several more happy months to live and be a part of my family.
The staff at Biopet is truly awesome. They are so helpful and encouraging. I remember one time when I felt like giving up, one of the guys told me, "You are all that Grace has. She is totally dependent upon you to help her get through this." Those words encouraged me to push on. Everything they told me that would happen did. I cannot thank Biopet enough for the Yeast Kit and all of their help. I probably called those guys 25 times, and each time they encouraged me, gave me new tips and ideas on ways to help Grace. Thank you for helping me give Grace a few extra months of life comfortably. I would like to encourage anyone else to give these products a try, what do you have to lose? Stay on course and be dedicated to the program. It can be exhausting at times caring for someone that you love who is sick. But the outcome is truly worth it and it is an awesome reward. The pictures say it all!
Griffen Breed: Bernese Mountain Dog Age: 5 yrs Problems: Torn ligament, Cruciates surgery, Ear infection, Candida Yeast infection
February 8, 2002, I can't begin to let you know how thankful I am to have found your Nzymes products! They have made a remarkable difference in Griffen, our 5-yr old Bernese mountain dog. At age 4, he suffered from a torn Cruciates ligament. After surgery he had a lengthy healing period with frequent bouts of limping when getting up from resting. Damp weather seemed to make it worse. It broke my heart to see him limping. After the 12-16 weeks that it took to heal, he still wasn't getting around as well as I was hoping for. I found your NZYMES® product while searching the Internet in June of 2001 and decided to give it a try.
I am thrilled to report that as promised, I noticed a dramatic difference each and every day that he took the NZYMES®Antioxidant Treats. Imagine my shock to see him RUNNING within (30) days of being on NZYMES® when just a few weeks back, he was walking with a noticeable limp.
Almost a year later now, as soon as he hears me opening the NZYMES® bottle, he's anxiously waiting getting the tablet and his mobility is wonderful. Also, thanks to you, he’s been switched off the commercial dog foods and changed over to Eagle.
On another note, he's also on your NZYMES®Ox-E-Drops product. Since early adulthood, he had always had problems with smelly build-up in his ears that resulted in a lot of ear/head shaking. The Vet had treated him off and on for 3 years for this, but none of their medications ever worked, long term. Never once, did my Vet ever suspect that his ear problems could be the result of an internal yeast infection. I mixed up the Ox-E-Drops in a 2% solution and started flushing his ear canal. I am, again, happy to report that his ear problems have been 99% eliminated. The smelly build-up is gone and stays gone.
He's the love of our lives and your products have made such a difference in his overall health. We can't thank you enough!
Here is Higgins, after a bath, being dried off, and pink ears. When I first wrote to you his ears were black. What a difference now, huh? No more itching or biting his feet or pulling out his hair. Thanks again!
HIGGINS TESTIMONIAL REMARKS, 7/18/03: A year ago, my little dog Higgins, age 16 years old at the time, began shaking his head, and violently pulling his hair out of his arms and paws. I went to doctor after doctor, and specialists. They gave me antibiotics, shampoos, medicines, shots. Nothing worked. For months, Higgins suffered. His paws were red and raw. His ears completely had lost the hair. Higgins was sensitive to light, his walking was becoming clumsy.
Finally, I found this NZYMES® web site, and talked to the the people there. I have been giving Higgins NZYMES®Yeast Kit and a new food, which is meat-based food rather than grain-based. I also began giving him the NZYMES®Tincture of Black-Leaf (from the Kit).
HIGGINS PROGRESS HISTORY:
5/13/03 After 6 days - Hi, I just wanted to report to you that Higgins has improved dramatically in just a few days! And it hasn't taken a month or longer like you said. I did one thing more, though, to help it along. A couple of times a day I spray some athlete's foot spray on his toes, and that seems to get rid of the immediate itching. Higgins has been taking the NZYMES® Yeast Kit every day since Saturday. In only three days he is hardly scratching or pulling at his hair at all. His ears are also almost completely pink again, but his ears started improving due to the change in diet a month ago.
The only thing I am worried about is that his kidney level is just a little elevated and I don't want his kidneys hurt from the high meat/protein diet, but so far he's okay. His other blood results all came back fine a couple of weeks ago. He got better so quickly there are no pictures to take to send to you. Ill keep you posted on the future results, and will continue to buy the products from you.
5/27/2003 After 20 days the detoxifying begins:: Well, I wrote you a couple of weeks ago telling you how much Higgins had improved. At first, he was improving. But now he is scratching his paws, licking his paws, and pulling the hair out of his paws as much as ever. I even noticed a little blister on one of his paws. You said it would take 1-3 months or so for this to start helping and that we should expect the symptoms to look worse after 2-3 weeks, well that’s true.
6/8/03 After 1 month - Everything you have said has come true. Higgins is not itching any more, he's not pulling his hair out any more, and you were right, he got worse for a while and then got better. The only thing wrong with him now is that he is still light sensitive. Thanks for letting me know this is another symptom and even that noise bothers them sometimes. I have been using the Ox-E-Drops in his water, on his food, and diluted on his paws, in his ears and eyes.
6/28/2003 After 1 1/2 months: Higgins has his good days and his bad days. Some days he does very little itching or pulling out the hair on his paws, on other days, he continues to pull and his paws are still red and raw. But, I will continue with the treatments.
6/28/2003 Colette’s Follow-up - I need your help! There is good news, and there is bad news. I have been using all the products you have sent for Higgins for me as well. The good news is that the itching on my face has drastically reduced. I have been diluting the Ox-E-Drops and applying it directly to my face. In a couple of places, however I put a tiny bit of the concentrate on certain trouble spots. The bad news is that it has acted like a chemical peel, and I have two red "sunburned" spots on my face. I guess these Ox-E-Drops are more powerful than I thought.
7/18/03 After 2 months: It took a couple of months for him to improve, but now he is almost back to normal, and he just had his 17th birthday. He is not itching, shaking his head, or biting his paws. He has not regained the hair on his ears, and he is still a bit sensitive to light, but he is getting cataracts on one of his eyes, which is typical for a dog this age. I hope he continues to improve, thank you!

Update 1/9/05 : Hello, I thought you would like to know that my little angel Higgins passed over the Rainbow Bridge on December 27, 2004. This was the same day that his mother Snowflake passed.

July, 2006
You’re probably thinking “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” That’s what I was thinking too, until I tried NZYMES®. My dog was at such a painful point, that I was determined to either find a product that would eradicate the damages from antibiotics and steroids for his “allergies” or make one myself.
I studied the ingredients that were being used for candida cleansings in people so I knew that NZYMES® had the right stuff. What I wasn’t sure of was what dosage per pound to use. When I discovered that NZYMES® are human-grade products I decided to take this NZYMES® supplementation along with my dog, Hoobie..
Before using the NZYMES® Yeast-Kit, my poor dog had open bloody sores, absesses between his toes, horrific smelling discharge, massive hair loss and it must have been driving him mad to be itching and gnawing himself raw. At one point I considered “laying him down” if I couldn’t find anything to relieve his suffering. The vets just kept wanting to drown him in their antibiotics and steroids and would never admit that this was what was causing the problems in the first place.
Ivy Breed: Pit Bull Age: 12 yrs Problems: Severe Yeast problems, Allergies, Yellowing of fur, Acne.
I had tried everything to help Ivy's skin problems and had been to numerous vets. She was given anti-fungal medications, antibiotics, topical medications and allergy shots. None of these methods improved her conditions, not even slightly.
I tried NZYMES Yeast- Kit as a last resort and within two weeks I saw a remarkable difference. Within a month she was 100% better! I was amazed! The vets were trying to cure her for two years. She has been taking the product for almost two years now and she has never had a skin problem since!
December 18, 2006 My dog Jake is a 2.5 year Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix. He came from a puppy mill and was very sick with Coccidia and a intestinal worm problem for many weeks when he was a pup. He was treated extensively with antibiotics during this time. Over the course of about 18 months, we made many visits to the veterinary in order to address a series of oddball problems. However, we were never able to pinpoint any of the underlying causes. The poor dog looked old, moved like he was old – but we were told there was “nothing” wrong with him.
Jake's Symptoms:
Lack of energy.
Sluggish walk (waddled from side to side in a slow walk) Rough dry coat, color drained out of coat (looked like when the juice is sucked out of a snow cone).
Goopy eyes.
Chewing at paws (fur would turn a reddish color around paws).
Crusty reddish colored beard after eating.
Smelly, warm ears.
General odor.
Giardia (tested from the tap water).
Licking into the air.
Reverse sneezing episodes.
Occasional upset stomach, vomiting/diarrhea.
Excessive panting.
Droopy ears & expression. Just “blah”.
Weight gain.
NOTE: Jake's blackened skin was diagnosed as Acanthosis Nigricans (AN). 2.5” dark oval spots on groin area. After the diagnosis of “AN”, that was the final straw for us. I was no longer willing to accept that my dog was “OK”. “Normal”, “Aging”, etc. I KNEW something was not right.
In a desperate attempt to find some answers, I stumbled across the web site called NZYMES.COM. The person that I spoke to at NZYMES® was so professional and very educated on their product line, (not just an order taker). Their people are a HUGE asset to their company and didn’t just try to push an order on me. They explained the advantages of following the Yeast program completely and the importance of the correct quality foods. They really cared.
I put my dog on the LARGE YEAST-KIT and also switched to one of their recommended food products. I selected the EaglePack Holistic Select Duck and Oatmeal (dry) and along with the Eagle Pack Holistic Select Chicken (canned). Jake actually LOVES the food !! (I’ve tried many “premium” dog foods and Jake just wouldn’t eat them).
Jake's Results:
Improvements became visible within 30 days. It’s now been more than 60 days and I am happy to report the following conditions for Jake.
Puppy like energy levels. (Lots of romping and playing).
Peppy walk (bounces up and down).
Soft coat, gold, brown and black color tones starting to grow back in (blew the groomer away!).
Bright, clear eyes.
No paw chewing.
Crusty reddish colored beard gone.
No new ear problems. Smells gone.
No more Licking into the air.
Reverse sneezing episodes – has happened once or twice vs. almost daily.
Zero upset stomach episodes.
No panting.
15% weight loss, despite the fact that he seems to eat MORE now.
Overall my dog has become a bouncing, feisty, playful, love bug of a dog. The NZYMES® Yeast program has made a huge and noticeable difference. And, the dark brown/blackened spots which were diagnosed as Acanthosis Nigricans (AN) are completely GONE. Visual inspections do not lie, just see the before and after picture above.
Thanks to both NZYMES® and Eaglepack for giving me my dog back and enhancing his life. Both are premium products that provide high quality results. I highly recommend each product individually or in combination with each other (as needed) I really can’t thank you enough. THANK YOU
Kieko, my American Eskimo dog first started developing hair loss problems well over 3 years ago. The Veterinarian was at wit's end trying to pin down the exact... "alergy" we were sure was the root of Kieko's hair loss, odor, and scaly blackish skin.
We had run through every blood test (for air borne as well as contact allergens) and nearly every different type of dog food developed specifically for Skin allergies or highly sensitive skin. In fact... next stop was a Veterirnarian who specialized in animal allergies. Simply by chance I started a serch via the internet in hopes there was someone who had experienced these same symptoms.
It was then I came across the NZYMES website and indeed, by reading the many testimonials from like 'patients' I realized I may have found the answer to Kiekos problems totally by accident! I ordered and started Kieko's treatment 2 years ago this month now and we couldn't be more thrilled. With the help of Nzymes Yeast Kit (Antioxidant treats, Ox-E-Drops, Black leaf Tincture, and Fortified BacPak), we have our pretty Kieko back! All her beautiful fur has grown back in full gorgous. Her skin is the pretty pink it should be, and there is no trace of the odor either. I wish I had found the website earlier. As much as I wish that my Vet had been in tune with this treatment. NZYMES is something they simply do not learn about in Vet's school. More's the Pity. Thank heavens for NZYMES !
Legend Breed: Rottweiller Age: 2 yrs Problems: Torn ligament, Yeast Infection, Vomiting, Poor Appetite, Lameness, Joint pain, Swelling, Low energy
Around April 13th of 2002, at just over 1 year of age, our big boy "Legend" suddenly became very ill with strange symptoms such as vomiting, lameness, lack of energy, joint pain, lack of appetite and parts of his body such as his lower lip & elbows became very swollen and sore.
After numerous tests by our Vet such as Blood work, X-Rays and extensive physical exams, our Vet believed that he was suffering from a torn Cruciate Ligament. As for the other symptoms, the vet was a bit puzzled. He then referred us to the local Orthopedic Veterinarian in the Manikin Sabot area of Central Virginia (VRCC). After seeing the vet there, he determined that Legend had the following conditions; Hip-Displasia (very mild), Arthritis in all joints, loose knees, fluid on both elbows due to arthritis, and that Legend's muscles has begun to atrophied. In the vet's words "This dog is a train wreck!" He recommended that we "Medically Manage" these conditions for as long as we could, financially & mentally. Legend was placed on NSAID'S (Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs)
Leaving this visit, we were the ones that felt like we were hit by a train. How could this be? He was so healthy less then 3 months prior. We then began researching Legend's symptoms on the net and came across a web site done by a local Virginia Nutritionist who later phoned us that evening stating she felt that Legend had a severe Yeast Infection throughout his body. She was going to email us articles on the subject but never did. So we began searching the internet on the topic of "Yeast Infections" and came across the NZYMES.COM web site.
My wife then emailed them about Legend's condition and symptoms. They then phoned us back in about 30 minutes. After talking with Stan, we then placed an order for the products in the NZYMES®Small Yeast Kit . He also consulted a close friend Linda Arndt who is a "Canine Nutritional Consultant" who asked Stan to have us phone her right away. In doing so, Linda confirmed that a severe yeast infection could indeed be the culprit, which often resembles food allergies.
Linda then went on to explain how the NZYMES®Yeast Kit would help eliminate the yeast infection from Legend's body and also suggested several "All Natural" dog foods that contained NO artificial filers or preservatives. She also suggested special shampoos for us to use while his body was expelling the yeast.
Within 2 months, we saw a MAJOR change in Legend's condition, his symptoms had dramatically reduced and appeared to be in steady decline. To this day, Legend remains on this regiment of Blackwood Pet Foods' 2000 brand dog food, NZYMES® and has made a full recovery, to the point were our vet had to ask, is this the same Rottweiler? Legend runs, jumps and plays like any other healthy 2 year old Rottweiler. Our rescued female "Sheba" is also on these products more as a daily preventive regiment. I also should mention that both dog's coats are like glass and the whites of their eyes are clear and bright!
We want to publicly thank all of the folks involved in saving our beloved Legend for without your concern & dedication, Legend would most certainly no longer be with us. We are forever grateful!

I have a 10-year-old Cocker Spaniel named Licorice (middle of photo) who is very special to me. Licorice had developed a severe skin problem, which was leathery, sticky, greasy, yeasty, and pungent smelling. He’d lost all the fur on his back and had a load of small growths that looked gross, plus he stunk to the max! Because of this He got the nickname of Piglet! The really sad part is that Licorice is a registered therapy dog and had to stop working four years prior because his condition. After so many years of this, I was set on putting him down, thinking the poor thing was suffering.
After checking a link for Cocker Spaniels, I posted a letter for the bulletin board. In the beginning of June 2001, I got an email from a woman that recommended I check out NZYMES.COM. I read the different stories and thought I would try it. Surely, I had nothing to lose as it was only $20. I have already spent THOUSANDS of dollars over the past 7 years. So, I ordered NZYMES® Antioxidant Treats and NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops. I was really impressed with the fact that if it doesn't make a noticeable difference you get your money back.
I had visitors on the forth day after starting the NZYMES® and everyone went crazy because Licorice’s skin had such a DRASTIC change. Even the fur was coming back. My Groomer and my Vet saw him after ten days and they couldn’t believe that he was the same dog.
At this point, it has been a total of 24days (Not even 30 days) that I have been giving the NZYMES® Antioxidant Treats and the NZYMES® Ox-E-Drops to my pets and the progress is as follows: He is about 65% more alert. He was unable to go up stairs at all, going down the steps he had some difficulty and would usually fall down them every other time. Now he runs up and down the stairs like when he was a puppy. Before NZYMES® I couldn’t pick him up or hold him in my arms because he was so stiff and in so much pain he would cry until you put him down. Now he loves to be held and the stiffness has completely gone away. The white cloudiness in his eye has gone away. He has gone for a month without a bath and doesn't stink! All of his coat has come back and is just as soft and shiny as when he was a puppy. I had to give him 30mg of Phenobarbital, twice a day, along with a thyroid pill twice a day. I have cut him back to just one a day and hope to discontinue them completely.
However, here is the best part of this story. STARTING the first of August Licorice will be returning to work as a Therapy Dog and will be training his little brother butter to follow in his foot steps. I am very grateful to Darla for taking the time to email me with the NZYMES® site that saved my baby's life. She has given me my puppy back and I know that Licorice and I will have many more years of enjoyment and pleasure. Since witnessing these changes, my Groomer and my Veterinarian are both now stocking the products locally. Thank you for such a wonderful product.
Sincerely Ric & Licorice Testani, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
This is what my groomer had to say: Licorice has been coming to my grooming shop since 1998 and has progressively deteriorated over the years. His skin and his ability to walk worsened. The owner discovered the NZYMES® product over the Internet and started giving him the pills. A few weeks after, he called to tell me of the dramatic change in his skin and agility. He then brought the dog over to my shop and I couldn’t believe the change. This dog had been so bad off, and it was like a miracle! I immediately contacted the company and placed an order and I am selling it to my customers with a variety of problems. We are seeing the same success for their pets.
Randy N. - Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Tailwaggers
This is what my Veterinarian had to say: Licorice had been diagnosed with hypothyroid and had suffered from chronic allergies and ear infections over the last 10 years. He had constant bacterial and secondary Yeast (Malessezia) dermatitis despite treatment with antibiotics and anti-fungals (oral and topical). Nothing seemed to help Licorice’s skin, which smelled so bad it was hard to be in the same room with him. His owner heard about NZYMES® and began using them. After being on them for two-weeks, he brought Licorice in for me to see how he had improved. What an improvement we saw! I could hardly believe it was the same dog.
I am now recommending NZYMES® products for many of my other patients.
Dr. Patricia Forsythe, D.V.M. All Paws Animal Clinic – Royal Palm Beach, FL.
Update October 26, 2002 - I wanted to let you know that Licorice passed away on Sunday September 22nd. He had developed Bronchitis that got progressively worse over a three week period. He then became very lethargic. When we went back to the vets on September 18th, one of the new vets there opened his mouth and found that the entire right hand side of his mouth had been all infected with cancer. More than likely this was from the long-term use of steriods for his yeast problem. He progressed down hill very quickly. His breathing got worse and on Saturday and then on Sunday he stopped breathing. And went very peaceful.
Licorice lived 11 very glamorous years. Did every thing and got everything and even had Plastic Surgery twice for the small bumps on his face. He was more fortunate than most humans. He was one of the few that got to dine in the world famous Bal Harbor restaurant where the plates started at one hundred dollars (and that is not the humans plate price). We have been swamped with calls, cards and flowers. His memorial will be held this weekend. There are two 10 foot Leachy nut trees planted for him in our yard. They were a gift from Toni at the VCA animal clinic. He was really special and not because he belonged to me.
I must thank you again for making such a wonderful product, and Darla for her suggesting it to me. This did give me a lot more time to enjoy him, myself along with his two brothers Baci and Butter. Can't thank you enough and will always be faithful takers of NZYMES® and our Ox-E-Drops.
August 9, 2006 - Recent Medical History For the last several years, Max has been showing elevated liver enzyme levels in blood tests, indicating liver problems. General care through our vet in Pleasant Valley, NY first brought this condition to light. A biopsy of his liver was suggested, but declined. The Vet explained it could be hepatitis, a common problem in older dogs of the black lab breed.
In July of 2005, a large "carbuncle" type growth on the back of Max's rear left leg became large enough to cause concern. It was oozing pus and appeared infected. An office visit to the Vet confirmed this. He was prescribed antibiotics and scheduled for surgery to remove the carbuncle growth at the end of his antibiotic treatment. In a few weeks in early August 2005 the carbuncle growth was surgically removed.
I went to the local animal shelter to pick out a Jack Russel Terrier. I found one, and I also came across this sad looking little dog. She wouldn't even come to the front of the cage. She just sat in the back, curled up, shaking. Her eyes were dull, she had no hair, her skin was red, her eyes were dripping with infection, her ears had chunks of brown smelly wax completely covering the opening (Yeast candida symptoms).
I asked them about her and they said don't bother as they were putting her down since no-one would want her and

she had multiple problems. Without even taking her out I decided tobuy her as well as my Jack Russel. I knew I could help her.
She was so ill that they didn't even fix her prior to me taking her. That was true of both dogs. I took her home and started her immediately on the Granules. I phoned the company (NZYMES®) and they explained about the best products to kill the yeast so I ordered the Black-Leaf Tincture, the Ox-E-Drops, the Bac~Pak, the Treats and whatever else goes with the Yeast Program plan. I was already feeding a raw food diet but did make sure I took out anything (food items) that had a high glycemic index.
After about a week she immediately started feeling better. Her cough lasted only a short time and never got as bad as my other dog from the pound. Her skin also began to calm down. She began to grow hair and her ears cleared up within 7 days. It was obvious the NZYMES® and other products were supplying her body with the raw nutrients, vitamins, minerals (etc.) that she needed to heal. It's been nearly 4 years now and she has had ZERO issues. She loves her Treats and does all types of tricks to get them. I'm sure "Missy" wouldn't be here today if she didn't get her NZYMES®. Thank you very much!
Nicki Breed: German Shepherd Age: 2 yrs Problems: Yeast problem, Itchy paws and skin, Allergies, Rashes
January 20, 2004 If you are reading this, it’s probably because you haven’t found the answer to your pet’s problem and you’ve probably been taking your pet to the Vet and trying everything known, but still haven’t found the answers.
I would like to tell you about our German shepherd puppy named Nicki and her severe allergy outbreaks in-between her paws, underarms and belly. It all started the beginning of summer 2003, when she developed this horrible rash and couldn’t stop scratching herself. She would scratch so much that neither she or I could sleep at night. I was getting so agitated with her continuous scratching that I was getting mad at her. Poor Nicki! All we were looking for was something that would make her feel better and would just let us get some rest at night. My Vet tried the steroid shot for allergies, it would work for two full days and then we were back to the office.
Then we started looking through the Internet about her condition and stumbled across a website with by Linda Arndt called Great Dane Lady, called so I wrote Linda an e-mail and described Nicki’s problem. She recommended the Yeast Kit and to look at the NZYMES® website and read the testimonials about people and their pets. At that point we changed Nicki’s food from Science Diet to Eagle Pack.
After three weeks of having read all the testimonials on the NZYMES® site and e-mailing Linda back and forth, we had finally found what we’re looking for, but because I’m a very skeptical person, I decided that I needed to talk to somebody in the NZYMES® department my self. I called they answered every skeptical question I had and finally I decided that we tried the Yeast Kit! The same thing Linda had recommend to me three weeks prior, but because I’m a very skeptical person, I didn’t believe her until I talked to them, and again asked the same questions I asked Linda.
It took us four months to get Nicki’s condition under control after we began using the yeast kit and the change in her diet, but NO MORE RASHES! It not only got rid of her rash, but her shedding as well.
Thanks to Linda Arndt and the people at NZYMES® for being so patient with me and helping my puppy to be the happy once again. If my puppy is happy, I’m happy.
All I regret is not putting Nicki on the NZYMES® sooner. If everything else fails give NZYMES® a try, it worked for us.
Thanks again for helping us, Silvia and Nicki - Richmond Hill, GA
Reported Symptoms: Yeast problem, Itchy paws and skin, Allergies, Rashes
Reisen Breed: Standard Poodle Age: 5 yrs Problems: Severe yeast infections in ears, Constant licking of feet, Face rubbing, Head shaking
September 26, 2005 Our standard poodle, Riesen, had the first symptoms of yeast infection in her ears in 2003 when she was 2 yrs. old. Our vet prescribed using Tresaderm, Zymox and Otomax, it was under control in a few weeks. However, within months, the yeast problem returned, and was now more severe. The veterinary treatment went on for months, using one medication after another, one ear wash after another, and then finally putting Riesen under anesthesia to clean out all the hair, infection, etc. in her ear canals. By the summer of 2004 we had added antihistamines to Riesen's treatment.
Our vet had suggested (on more than one occasion) that we needed to look at what we were feeding Riesen. She kept telling us that the yeast was only a secondary problem, and the primary problem was most likely her diet. But we fed Iams! Wasn't that a "premium" dog food? We just couldn't believe it!
In Oct. of 2004, the yeast had come back and worse than ever. Riesen is miserable, and nothing is helping her. She is shaking her head constantly, and crying when she does because her ears are so sore. She hardly sleeps at night due to scratching her ears all the time, and she has bloody spots on the sides of her face from all the scratching. She begins to have a reaction to the Tresaderm, so that had to be removed from her treatment.
By Feb. of 2005, our hearts were breaking for our beloved Riesen, and we were desperate. We began doing extensive research on-line, and came across the NZYMES®website one evening. The next day, I talked with them, and didn't need to tell him much...they had heard it all before...all too often! We chose to switch her to a holistic dog food, and we gradually began the food switch the middle of February of 2005.
The following week, my order of NZYMES®Granules and Ox-E-Drops arrived and we began giving her those. I also mixed up the 2% solution to use as a rinse in her ears. All of her dog treats were replaced with holistic treats. Biopet warned me that this would take months, and that I had to be persistent. They were right! There were times when I was ready to give up hope, but we kept her on the new food, and never missed a dose of the Ox-E-Drops and Granules.
In June of 2005 (after 4 months on this new plan), Riesen was due for immunizations and our vet checked her ears. Though still full of yeast, she commented that they were less inflamed, and was interested in knowing what I was doing. When I told her, she wanted all the information Biopet had sent me with my order, and told me to stick with it! It is now Sept. of 2005, and after a visit to our vet last week (during which our vet swabbed Riesen's ears and made slides), Riesen's ears have been declared yeast free! It's taken seven long months to arrive at this point, but Riesen is a different dog! She no longer licks her feet, shakes her head, scratches at her ears till her face bleeds, and her ears are clean and dry. She's full of energy, and is one happy dog! For anyone who is thinking that all of this sounds too good to be true, I would add that we thought the same thing.
I ordered the NZYMES®Granules and Ox-E-Drops out of desperation. They were not the first "natural" products I had ordered in hopes of helping our dog. The difference was that these worked...the others didn't. We will continue to give her the NZYMES®Granules and Ox-E-Drops as supplements to maintain her good health. We are so thankful for the difference these products have made in Riesen's life. In fact, we now have all of our pets on NZYMES®Granules and Ox-E-Drops! They deserve the best, and we feel we have found it in these products.

NOTE FROM NZYMES.COM This is a classic yeast problem and, had we known, we would have suggested Reisen also take our NZYMES®Tincture of BlackLeaf and the BacPak Plus also. The extra products in the NZYMES®Yeast Kit work very well together to help shorten the time it takes to resolve a dog going through the yeast cleansing process.
Reported Symptoms: Severe yeast infections in ears, Constant licking of feet, Face rubbing, Head shaking
May 2005 - After 30 days Odor is gone - new hair growth Rash is almost cleared.
June 2005 - After 60 days Odor is gone - Hair regrown Rash cleared.
4/4/2005 Our dog, Rocko, is 7 months old and has always had a scratching problem. The scratching has progressively gotten worse along with a foul smelling odor and hair loss. We got the dog from a local pet rescue program. The food he was eating was Purina Pro Plan-puppy. Based on your yeast outline I will be changing to the Eaglepack dog food.
June 5, 2005 Per your request I've kept a photo record of our dog Rocko's improvements. My family is amazed at the results. The endless scratching and pungent odor from Rocko was unbelievable. We have never had a dog stink that bad by just sitting still. Within a couple weeks the odor was gone, the scratching was less, and the hair was coming back. Rocko along with us are much happier.

Starting the Nzymes Program
Face - Beginning stages
Savanna at 3 weeks
5 Weeks - Note face
August 19, 2009 (Case in progress; see notes at bottom)
I had taken Savanna to her Vet 3 times for the same ear infection. She had been on 4 different antibiotics, the last one being Baytril tabs, along with a bilateral ear pack with another antibiotic and a shot for the pain she was in. She had already started to break out with bumps all over her body before the last antibiotic round, and (then) after that, the hair just started falling out and her skin was oozing.
The Vet suggested the next move should be the dermatologist, but I really wasn't sure I had enough money to pay the dermatologist on top of the $250 I had already spent each time I went to the Vet the previous 3 times for the same ear infection. My problem was - they keep charging you even though they don't fix the problem and Savanna just kept getting worse. They seem to want to treat the symtoms; not the root of the problem.
So that's when I decided to go online and start investigating to see what the vet might be missing related to her symptoms. Then I found you guys on NZYMES.COM. Thank God! I started reading and it all made sense. I started her (on the Yeast Programwith a Small Yeast Kit) on July 10th; and like you said, she got worse before she got better. I followed all the instructions to a 'T'. I am happy to say that we finally turned the corner and she is now starting to get more active and acting like my old Savanna.
She loved the raw-food diet right away, and I was hand feeding her because she was so weak for the first 4 weeks. She is now eating on her own and roaming around the house doing her thing. She is even going to the bathroom outside now, instead of on the "piddle pad" I had down for her. So, she seems to be well on her way to recovery.
Thank you so much for saving my dog not to mention my bank account. She still has a way to go - getting her fur back like it was before all this happened. I did shave her down so I could make sure I got the (Ox-E-Drops) 2% solution where it needed to be and the medicated shampoo (also) got to where it needed to be. So, the pics might still look not so good; but, believe me, she is 80% better as of today, August 19th.

UPDATE, 9/23/09:I'm happy to report that Savanna is chasing the vacumm cleaner around again with lots of enthusiasm. So she is pretty much back to her old self, her neck area is starting to get some fur back now too.I truly think you guys saved my dogs life. She was going down hill fast before getting your products (progress photos below). Caryl Tilling
UPDATE, 9/30/09: My hope is that when someone sees how bad Savanna was, and how much better she is now, that there is hope for their little baby. I'm not saying it wasn't scary, because there were times when I thought that maybe I should have had her put down. But when I looked into her eyes, she let me know she was fighting to stay with me. All I know is it sure feels good to be able to snuggle up with her and hold her again without hurting her. Her fur grew back in so soft, she feels like a childs toy stuffed animal. Caryl Tilling

NZYMES Notes: This case is yet in early stages, having only begun the NZYMES® Program around July 10th. As can be seen from the photos, this is one of the worst cases in Nzymes records; so, it will be updated regularly in coming months. PICTURES: You must view the larger images to see what is going on. In particular, at 5 weeks you can see the drastic improvement of face, head and ears. The lower pictures are from Updates in late September and then early October.
IMPORTANT: Understanding this process is critical. Fortunately, Savanna has made massive progress in just over 9 weeks on the Program. The Nzymes products and program are obviously giving Savanna exactly what her body needs to reverse this horrific Yeast condition from which she suffered. However, we do not expect all cases to move along this quickly - even though many do. We believe the KEY to this kind of healthy response is a properly functioning, highly effective immune system - now being aided by the NZYMES®. When we run into those cases that do not get this kind of early response, we are always looking to see what the complications are that could be retarding the immune system, or causing poor response for other reasons.
Stephanie Breed: Mixed Breed Age: 10 yrs Problems: Yeast, Pus Sores, Excessive itching, Red inflamed skin, Blackened skin.
Face Before - November 2008
Face After - March 2009
Example of Pus Sore
Rear Before - Jan. 2009
Rear After - Jul. 2009
When I found Stephanie in October 2008, she was filled with pus sores, bleeding from the excessive itching, red, inflamed, and suffering from “blackened” skin. She was miserable, and from what I was told, had been in this terrible condition for at least 3 years.
No veterinarian could help her, so her current owners gave up. Not one second could pass without the poor sweet girl itching like mad.
I put her on the NZYMES® Yeast-Kit and changed her kibble to one of the recommended yeast-food options, and followed the yeast instructions to a tee. By her 3rd month on the program, her discomfort was reduced immensely. Every month thereafter produced improvements. In that 3rd month her butt did (as they say) “get worse” in that the yeast utilized the area as an additional escape route, but within 5 months the skin returned to it’s normal, healthy hue and her hair grew in thicker than ever. I am elated over this rescue’s recovery progress. Looking at the before and after images brings a smile to my face. And her re-found youth warms my heart. I am now “detoxing” 4 other rescues with the NZYMES® Yeast Program.

August 8, 2005, Tasha is our 5-year old female Shih-Tzu. She has suffered for the past 3 years with what our veterinarians diagnosed as allergies. Her condition, which was mild at first, worsened steadily each year and finally got to the point of frantic muzzle scratching, digging at her ears, and loud crying. This pattern would continue many times each hour virtually every hour that she was awake. She was prescribed oral steroids, and antihistamines plus an assortment of topical prescription treatments and dietary changes. Nothing she was prescribed helped very much, some not at all, and even the steroids provided no lasting improvement.
After reading about NZYMES® on-line, we started Tasha on Antioxidant Treats in April 2005. After several conversations with Mike at Biopet about the possibility that she was suffering from a yeast problem, we also added the other products from the NZYMES® Yeast Kit, including the Ox-E-Drops, Tincture of BlackLeaf and the Bac~Pak Plus probiotics to her supplement treatment routine. We also changed all our dogs' food to Eagle brand holistic chicken.
At her regular vet appointment in June, I said that I suspected a yeast infection - which they tested for and confirmed. The vet then prescribed a course of oral antifungal medication as well as antifungal eardrops. After two doses, Tasha developed severe nausea and vomiting from the oral meds, and I discontinued the entire course of antifungals after just 3 days. I increased her supplements and stayed with her new food.
Today, I am very happy to report that Tasha is healthier than she has ever been since her symptoms first appeared three years ago. She has once again become a happy, active dog who wants to play constantly. She still rubs her muzzle occasionally, but her overall improvement in just 3 months has been truly remarkable, and she continues to show improvement weekly.
July 2005 - Eye Injury Unfortunately, in July, Tasha received a very serious eye puncture which quickly became infected. We took her to see an animal eye specialist in our area who was very concerned about the severity of her injury and who cautioned us that she might lose the eye altogether. Tasha was put on a very aggressive antibiotic eye drop protocol with two different medications simultaneously. They advised us to keep her at the hospital, but I insisted on taking her home so that we could continue giving her all her supplements. She was given antibiotic drops in her eyes 8 times daily and was set to be re-examined in 6 days. When we brought her back to the doctor, they could not believe how dramatic her recovery had been. In only 6 days, her eye was virtually healed, and we were told that, even under hospital confinement, the degree of healing she demonstrated would not have been expected for a period of at least two or more weeks.
Although impossible to prove, it is my belief that her rapid healing was due to her overall good health and strengthened immune system which are a direct result of her NZYMES®supplement program.
I am a Ph.D. microbiologist with 20 years prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry. I would recommend these supplements to anyone who wishes to provide their pets a true chance at optimal health. As a result of Tasha's experience, I now have my other dogs on NZYMES®supplements and am personally taking the NZYMES®Granules myself daily.
Thank you very much for the helpful discussions and for a wonderful, wonderful product.
Terra Breed: West Highland white terrier Age: 14 yrs Problems: Yeast, Hairloss, Blackened Skin, Hip and joint issues, Loose
August 31, 2008 My 14 year old Westie "Terra" had blood in her urine back in July 2007. We took her to the vet who could not tell me what it was, but had a huge veterinary bill. Her hair started to become dull and lifeless. She always smelled funny and she had lots of scabs all of a sudden. I thought maybe I hurt her while grooming. She had blackened skin, oily skin, crusty smelly skin, itchy skin, hair loss and loose stools. All these symptoms improved with Nzymes program. Her skin is mostly pink now and her hair is growing back. Her stools are normal for the first time in her life ever.
I looked up all the symptoms on the internet and found NZYMES.COM. I am usually very skeptical, but when they mentioned 120-Day Money-Back Guarantee if we were not happy, I thought what could I loose, also they were nice enough to give one bottle free to start with as you need to double up during the cleansing stages with yeast. I thought these feedbacks stories could be fake, but to my surprise they are true.
I started to change the food, just as they mentioned, I started feeding Eaglepack. Also Mother Hubbard treats. She stopped having loose stools as soon as we started theNZYMES®Antioxidant Treats. All these years of loose stools and then getting worse with all the skin problems. I also do the Malaseb shampoo and the Zymox shampoo. Her skin is now back to pink, and her stools are normal for the first time in her life ever. She only has a small area on the back of her neck that is still black, more to grey now. Before her whole back and groin area were all blackened. It is now healthy looking. Her hair is growing back also.
I have been giving her these NZYMES® Antioxidant treats since February of 2008 and it is now August 2008. I will be reordering and thinking of getting some for myself also. Thank you for making a wonderful product. Oh by the way, when I took her to get her teeth cleaned, the vet told me,"whatever you are doing for her skin problem, keep doing it, it seems to work". A vet telling me that, I felt great to hear that from her. Imagine all the money I am saving on vet bills and all the money she could have made from me.
Thanks again, M. Murray - Cedar Park, TX
NOTE FROM NZYMES.COM: It is important to mention that Rarely do we see a dog recover from this level of yeast infection by just using the NZYMES® Antioxidant Treats. In Terra's case we can only attribute this to the following: the dogs immune system working very effectively; the owner (from day one) following our yeast program and instructions as best possible - including changing foods, and following the correct bathing instructions. Fortunately, this dogs history included very little in the way of negative medications which tend to complicate these problems; thus, recovery came in a 7 month period. However, we want to WARN all reading this story, that expecting such results without using a recommeded Yeast Kit, will likely lead to strong disappointment. We know this from dealing with 700-800 new cases EVERY MONTH.

Toby Breed: Sheltie Age: 4 yrs Problems: Allergies, Hay fever, Chewing feet, Hair Loss
6/20/01, The spring that Toby turned one he began chewing on his feet to the point that he began loosing hair from them. I had just changed dog foods so I went back to the old food thinking that had caused the problem. When that did not stop it, I began making their food from a reputable natural recipe.
He continued chewing the hair off his feet and rubbing his nose until the little white strip on his nose disappeared leaving a red streak in its place. I felt sure it was an allergy, but didn't know to what until I realized one day, that when my hay fever was really acting up Toby was worse. I didn't want to take him to the vet because I was sure that the only thing they could do was give him cortisone. When he was really bad I gave him Benedryl which I had been advised to give him before for an allergic reaction to a food.
When late fall came, the itching stopped and his hair began to grow back. He looked great all winter and then the next spring the reaction started again. The poor dog acted like he felt great but he looked like he had the mange which I knew he didn't. The vet agreed with me about no cortisone if the Benedryl would control it and we got through another allergy season. I am a volunteer instructor at our local obedience club and use my dogs to demo. People who didn't know us asked what my dog had and I think they thought it was something much worse.
In March of 2001 I attended a canine health seminar sponsored by our local kennel club. One of the speakers was a man from Biopet who told us of the wonderful results people had reported for their animals and themselves from taking NZYMES®. A friend of mine who ran the seminar was one of those who gave a testimonial and I began to view these miraculous stories with a little less skepticism.
Brenda
I didn't buy NZYMES® at the seminar but did get them later at a local GNC health store. Nervous about the possible side effects and knowing that the human and dog tablets were basically the same, I took the dog tablets for a weeks to see my own reactions before giving them to my dogs. I had no problem and began the dogs on them the next week and I went on the human NZYMES®Antioxidant Complex.
This is mid-June and neither Toby nor I have had any major hay fever attacks. Toby still has all the hair on his feet and the white strip on his nose even seems whiter! As a side note, I was told through a dog Internet community that dogs' noses sometimes turn brown from black when they eat and drink from plastic bowls, something in the plastic is supposed to cause this. I use plastic bowls and when I looked both dogs' noses were a rusty brown color. As I look at them now they are black and nothing else has changed. I am recommending NZYMES® to anyone who has hay fever or whose dog seems to have it. This is great stuff!

Resolving Systemic Yeast Infection, AKA - Yeast Candida, or Candidiasis - is a time consuming and somewhat complex issue.
No matter which Kit or set of products you purchase, the Program directions are followed the same way, using these What To Do Instructions (click to review or print).
Use the How NZYMES Can Help tab to determine the Kit you will use, and then follow the WTD instructions carefully - understanding that this is not a quick process. BUT, if you don't see some results within the first 2 months, you should definitely be on the phone with us, as there is likely something else contributing to the problems, OR there may be instructions not well understood (we see this regularly).
If having problems with the cleansing or lack of progress, you can also go here for help - Cleansing Difficulties
