Arthritis and Joint-Pain Issues with Dogs or Cats
There are many forms of painful Mobility issues with pets, mainly Dogs. For information on other, similar issues, these Links may be helpful:
NZYMES EXPLANATORY STATEMENT:
While it is 'easy' for a medical professional to make a casual 'diagnosis' of arthritis, it is not quite so easy to prove it - as actual arthritis is about damage to cartilage within the joint structure; and that is nearly impossible to get inside and see. It is the NZYMES® position - that in MOST cases where some form of Arthritis is diagnosed, the real culprit is the LACK of proper quantity or quality of synovial fluid in the joints. This fluid is responsible not only for the lubrication of the joint, but also the cushioning and spacing. The extremely high rate of success or our NZYMES® products in helping these issues lends much credibility to the NZYMES® 'position'. See the How Nzymes Can Help tab for further clarification.
ARTHRITIS - The most frequent 'diagnosis' where joint discomfort is observed:
There are many types of Arthritis and associated causes of degenerative joint disease in pets (and humans). Symptoms include mobility problems such as difficulty in rising, walking, running, climbing steps, or even standing. These symptoms result from the less obvious symptoms of pain, swelling, and inflammation along with the actual destruction of cartilage and joints quite often. Causative factors can include improper lubrication in the joints along with buildup of toxins and free-radicals. In soft tissue injuries, torn ligaments can destabilize the joint area which can then cause dislocation of its natural position and sometimes the need for surgery.
AUTOIMMUNE ARTHRITIS:
This form is also known as Rheumatoid Arthritis, and comes about when the body attacks its own immune system causing serious pain, inflammation, joint swelling and deformity of the joints. This form is very common in people, but not that frequent in animals.
INFECTIOUS ARTHRITIS:
Also known as Septic Arthritis/Septicemia is often diagnosed as HOD or Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy by mistake. Septic Arthritis is an infection of the blood and a misdiagnosis can be a life threatening situation for your pet. For more information on HOD see - Help, My Puppy Has HOD.
OSTEOARTHRITIS:
This form is probably the most common version, and can be referred to as degenerative joint disease. It typically is the result of aging, trauma to the joint, or infection caused damage to the joints. Osteoarthritis, in the form of elbow or hip dysplasia, can have numerous causes; i.e., genetics, nutrition, injury and normal wear and tear on the joints, which then cause inflammation, reduced flexibility and less mobility.
SIMPLE HELP FOR A COMMON PROBLEM:
Every pet, regardless of age must have a daily source of living dietary enzymes in their diet to help replenish the body's valuable and needed nutritional resources. NZYMES® products help fulfill this dietary need while also helping the body to cleanse toxins and free radicals from soft tissue, along with supporting the body's immune function as well.
Typical Symptoms of "Arthritis assessed" problems: Limping, favoring a leg, difficulty in rising, difficulty in climbing steps/stairs, difficulty with jumping or getting in or out of a vehicle, difficulty walking or running, apparent lethargy (preference on resting). whimpering or indication of pain.
How NZYMES® Antioxidant Treats or Granules Can Help
By contrast, the special 'live nutrition' found in the NZYMES® products support the bodily mechanisms responsible for the cleansing of toxins and free radical buildup in the cells. This carries a positive effect for the Synovial System of the body.
Synovial fluid, contained in the Bursa sacs, provides the critical spacing and lubrication for the joints. Without sufficient enzyme support, this natural lubricant can break-down and lose its natural viscosity. The result is a reduction in joint spacing. Much like dirty engine oil, the break-down of this vital fluid can subsequently cause damage to the cartilage and surrounding tissues. Therefore, one can see how nutritional support of the body's synovial fluid can provide significant assistance in the battle for good joint health.
It is a wonderous thing to see what the body can do on its own once it receives the RESOURCES it needs. NZYMES® Antioxidant Treats or Granules are products which provide the body with those RESOURCES. The effective result is a body stronger in its ability to cleanse, repair and restore – solving its own problems, simply by having received what it needed.

Using NZYMES Treats or Granules
To See the Benefits from either product that you choose, simply follow the recommendations on the bottle or jar specified for the weight of your pet. Be sure to double the usage for the first two weeks.
Secondary to adding the NZYMES products to the diet, we always suggest that you review our recommended foods list, as most of the Big-Brand foods available will be adding significant amounts of chemicals (preservatives, antibiotics, colorings/dyes, pest prevention) to the food which can build up over time and cause degenerative problems in your pets.
