Overview of West Nile Virus (WNV)

This particular Virus, while it more often affects birds, can also affect dogs and cats. Humans and horses occasionally contract the virus, and many other animal types can be affected as well.  For humans and most pets, the virus infection is normally the result of mosquito bites.

SYMPTOMS
There can be a wide variety of symptoms such as fever, chills, sweating, weakness, joint pain, drowsiness, headache, swollen lymph nodes, etc.  Some of these will not be verifiable with animals (they can't tell you about a headache).  However, many of these symptoms are much like a cold or flu; the common thread being 'viral infection'.  More dangerous symptoms may include encephalitis - in which problems may arise with consciousness - even approaching near-coma.

Recovery from this illness is likely to involve much fatigue with a long convalescence.  Obviously, many symptoms will not be so easy detect with pets as they are with a person; the more important to observe may be fever, listlessness or fatigue. These could be strong clues. We are just providing a short description here. If you believe that you or your pet may have contracted West Nile Virus, you should seek professional medical help right away.

Help for West Nile

IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND...
There are substances that naturally assist the body in the fight against these types of problems. When it comes to microbial viral infections of any form, finding help within the medical community is challenging as few drugs offer support with viral problems.

In this area, our first products recommendations would be to use a combination of NZYMES Ox-E-Drops and Tincture of Black-Leaf. We also recognize the needs of the body when it comes these type of problems.  Nutritional support can be very important to help speed recovery at these times.  So
for added nutritional support, we recommend using either our NZYMES Antioxidant Treats or NZYMES Granules for Pets.
