To Anyone Seeking Relief from Piles of Excess Fur in their Abode

Dog shedding has undoubtedly become an accepted inconvenience for many pet parents. Normal, busy lives do not usually accommodate the amount of time required to keep the evidence of shedding from taking over everything in our homes. Couches, clothes, floors and chairs eventually become one with the issue, and only a great effort can remove this evidence. Even then, it’s only for a short time – until the next swishing tail saunters by…dog shedding

At least that was my experience – for too many years. I just resigned myself to the fact that if I loved and gave full residence to fur babies, the massive amount of discarded fur was just part of the package. And that was my life – I frantically cleaned if friends were dropping by, I bought lint rollers in bulk and I tolerated a few special spots in the house where my babes loved to lay – my own pillow being one. It got so bad I decided to only invite other animal lovers into my home – they would at least understand that if they wanted to sit down while visiting, they should not wear black pants.

And don’t get me started on the kamikaze fur balls that might aim for a dinner plate.

I’ll never forget visiting my grandfather’s house (over a decade ago) and being completely dumbfounded: Here was a multi-animal home… 2 dogs and 2 cats – without a trace of their existence. It was like a beautiful yet unreal twilight zone.

Ok. That might be slightly dramatic, but I really wanted to know how this was possible… so I asked.

The answer to this question fixed the shedding problems in my life, influenced me to move from Knoxville, Tennessee to Las Vegas and eventually changed my career from one in the finance world to the purposeful path of pet nutrition.

My grandfather, Tom Stansbury, the man who started Nzymes back in 1999, simply told me this:

dog shedding hair“Most people don’t know that the condition of a dog’s hair follicle is directly related to his nutrition. Dogs are not supposed to shed every day – they will naturally blow their coat twice a year with the seasons, which is normal, but if your pets are shedding year round – it’s time to take a look at what you are feeding them.”

To this very day, every morning he feeds his pets the highest quality food, then adds in Nzymes nutritional supplements to help support their general health (and hair follicles). He repeats this procedure every night. And he has his dogs groomed once a month.

It sounded crazy to me at first. How could different dog food and few little supplements stop this crazy dog shedding? But it really is as simple as he said all those years ago – and to this day I am grateful for his wisdom and the changes it brings to my life, my pets, their health… and my black pants. I’m happy to say I invite everyone into my home these days – even if they’re allergic to cats or dogs.
